Certificate II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship (Carpentry) — Partial Completion

VPC: Each completed 90-hour block of VET equals one VPC credit.

VCE/VCE VM: Recognition of up to four VCE VET units at Units 1&2 level, and a VCE VET Unit 3–4 sequence.

ATAR: Students will be eligible for a 10% increment.

VASS: VE1

Delivery Mode: Face to face onsite at the Host school(s)

• CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)
• CPCCCM1012A Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry
• CPCCCM1014A Conduct workplace communication
• CPCCCM1015A Carry out measurements and calculations
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Use of External Providers: First Aid training (HLTAID011 Provide First Aid) for students enrolled at Northern College of the Arts & technology is delivered on-site by 1 SDO Training Pty Ltd (RTO 41558).

Licensing or Accreditation Eligibility: Successfully completing the unit CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry provides a Statement of Attainment. This is necessary to get a White Card, which is required for working on construction sites in Australia. WorkSafe Victoria confirms eligibility for the White Card after completing this unit.

It is strongly recommended that students undertake a minimum 80 hours of work placement.

Prerequisites: No prerequisites required.
