Overview

This course provides a strong foundation in the sport and recreation industry, preparing you for roles such as sports administration, coaching support, or work in recreation facilities. Home schools enrolling with Croxton School or Peter Lalor Secondary College must provide additional support services—contact the host school for details. This is a one-year course. Students may attain qualification upon satisfactory completion of all units.

VPC: Each completed 90-hour block of VET equals one VPC credit.

VCE / VCE VM: On completion, students will be eligible for credit at VCE Units 1 & 2 level.

ATAR: No contribution is available.

VASS: VE1

Course Details

Delivery Mode: Face to face onsite at the Host school(s).

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • SISXCAI001 Provide equipment for activities
  • SISXIND006 Conduct sport, fitness or recreation events
  • SISXWHS001 Participate in workplace health and safety
Structured Workplace Learning

It is strongly recommended that students undertake a minimum 80 hours of work placement.

Prerequisites: No prerequisites required.

  • Assistant Sports Recreation Officer

  • Assistant Sports Administration

  • Assistant Sports Coach

  • Sports Coaching
