Certificate III in Information Technology

VPC: Each completed 90-hour block of VET equals one VPC credit.

VCE / VCE VM: Recognition of up to two VCE VET units at Units 1 & 2 level, and a VCE VET Unit 3–4 sequence. Note: Students are strongly advised against undertaking the scored Unit 3–4 sequence without first completing Units 1 & 2 because Unit 3–4 sequences are not designed for standalone study.

ATAR: Scored assessment is available for this course.

Delivery Mode: Face to face onsite at the Host school(s)
Assessment Methods: Direct observation, written and oral assessment, portfolios of evidence, and simulated workplace tasks.

It is strongly recommended that student undertake a minimum 80 hours of work placement.

This qualification equips individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in various technical roles within the information and communications technology (ICT) field. It encompasses a diverse set of technical ICT skills, opening up numerous career pathways within the industry. Graduates will attain a high level of proficiency as advanced ICT users, capable of supporting IT operations across a broad spectrum of areas such as technical support, network administration, web technologies, software applications, and digital media technologies.
