Overview

This program is designed to provide students with training and skills to be competent to work in the hospitality industry, with a particular focus on commercial cookery. Students may attain qualification upon satisfactory completion of all units.

VPC: Each completed 90-hour block of VET equals one VPC credit.

VCE / VCE VM: Recognition of up to two VCE VET units at Units 1 & 2 level, and a VCE VET Unit 3–4 sequence. Note: Students are strongly advised against undertaking the scored Unit 3–4 sequence without first completing Units 1 & 2 because Unit 3–4 sequences are not designed for standalone study.

ATAR: Scored assessment is available for this course. Peter Lalor Secondary College does not offer a scored assessment option.

Structured Workplace Learning

It is strongly recommended that students undertake a minimum 80 hours of work placement.
